Talk to other people involved in the children’s lives about the changes. It is important that friends, teachers, counselors, and coaches know what’s going on. If they know what is happening, they will be better prepared to help your children if they are withdrawn, emotional or “acting out.”
You will need to tell:
They will need to know who to call if there is an emergency. They will also need to know if there are any changes in who can pick up the kids.
Make sure extended family members who are close to the children know what is happening. They can also be important in helping your children get through these difficult changes.
